Set within an expansive state forest, the Cedars of Lebanon State Park is a 900-acre outdoor recreational and overnight camping area. The park is named for the Biblical land of Lebanon, which was said to be filled with cedars, and is in a unique ecosystem containing many rare plant species that survive only in this region. It has a number of recreational opportunities, such as tennis and volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and eight miles of hiking trails, and group facilities including a 250-person assembly hall and overnight sleeping facilities for up to 80 people. The park lies 31 miles east of Nashville, past J. Percy Priest Lake and south of Lebanon.
